It’s a real love story that there is these days between the Sun Trust and scandals especially when it comes to drugs as if they are inseparable.
Judge for yourself:
Just a few weeks ago the then opposition leader had accused Veer Luchoomun, brother of Sandhya Boygah and nephew of Education Minister Leela Devi Dookhun, of being the ”big boss” in a case of drugs following which the police officer Arvind Hurrechurn was found dead in a police cell where he was incarcerated after his arrest with a large shipment of drugs with a street value of Rs 35 M. This case had caused a lot of noise and the Human Right Commission had opened an investigation into the death of the police officer and the then Prime Minister had accused the press, those eternally responsible for all the misfortunes of the country, of creating a sensation and defended Sandhya Boygah with all his strength. And suddenly afterwards we hear no more about this affair as if it had already been forgotten.
And now another drug case has hit the headlines for a few days following the discovery of a container stuffed with heroin worth Rs 2 billion and the problem is that among those who have been arrested so far in this affair is a certain Geanchand Dewdanee, MSM activist and very close to the current Prime Minister.
And coincidence has it that Arvind Luchoomun and Geanchand Dewdanee are all residents of Constituency No 7, the stronghold of our former Prime Minister Sir Aneerood Jugnauth.
