The testimony of the star witness before the Rault Commission had revealed all the infamous transactions which took place under the umbrella of the MSM to which this mafia was very close. The revelations of Harish Boodhoo, who recounted in great detail the comings and goings between the mafia and the PM’s office and who also revealed how ‘dektis’ from Briani ended up in the office of Anerood Jugnauth, are still available to those who have a short memory. But the worst part is that he even forgets the present. Who has not seen this famous arm of Deewoochand who is still in detention in the Rs.2 billion drug trafficking case, around the shoulder of our `Ti-Premier Minis`? And who will elucidate the alleged suicide of Constable Hureechurn in Moka’s cell where the cameras were broken just at that moment? Pravind Jugnauth and his MSM team want us to believe that it is possible to hang yourself from a sink faucet no higher than 3 feet! If their followers are idiots, so much the better, but we flat out tell them that they are all guilty of covering up. When it comes to one of their own, they do everything to suppress the facts. But they forget that the Truth always triumphs in the end.
Furthermore, we must explain all the details of certain financial measures taken recently to facilitate the `resale` of the units of a hotel complex under the `Invest Hotel Scheme.` Especially when everyone knows that the Maradiva complex will be the main (perhaps even the only) beneficiary of this measure. Let us note in passing the following facts:
- Maradiva was in financial difficulties to the point of being declared bankrupt.
- The `Majority Share-holders` of the company which owns the Complex are the members of the Ramdenee family and Kobita, Pravind’s wife, is the main director. She is the daughter of Sir Kailash Ramdenee whose son Sanjeev has also been in the news with recent appointments and developments in the business world.
- What role did the famous Sattar Hajee Abdoullah who was recently spoiled by little Jugnauth play in the rescue of Maradiva? Note that this accountant was appointed assessor on the `Britam` Commission despite numerous reservations expressed in his case. And in addition, he received Rs.26 million for a few days of work in the BAI affair etc. in lightning speed!
The moral of this whole story is this: “Jugnauths and Morality never work together!”
